Doula + Post Birth Ayurvedic Doula Care  Doula is a Greek word meaning “woman’s helper”. The role of a doula is to provide complete support to the mother prior to the birth and during ... morethe entire labor and delivery. The doula makes sure all of the mother’s questions are answered, her birth plan is known by her medical team , and to keep her mind and body at ease as she prepares for labor. The new mother also has 24-hour support for the first three days after birth as well as an hour long follow-up once the baby is a week old.

The doula is also there to support the partner and family of the laboring mother. It is vital that the partner also have a chance to rest or take a break during the labor. This way, once the babe is born, both partners will feel refreshed and ready to take on parenthood.

Post Birth Care

The common expression, ‘It takes a village’ proves to be most accurate for parents who have just welcomed in the birth of a new babe. Whether you are having your first child or third, the first few weeks after a baby is born is often when parents most benefit from the help of their ‘village.’ A newborn thrives on unconditional love and endless affection. To best meet the infant’s needs, it is essential the parents maintain their sense of wellbeing through daily selfcare practices.

By the family having a solid support team to turn to, day-to-day life can run more smoothly while overall daily happiness and the ability to stay present is greatly increased. For new parents, a freshly prepared nutritious meal and a few moments rest will leave parents feeling refreshed and ready to take on the gratifying moments and arising challenges of raising a newborn.

The following services are offered in the convenience of your home to ensure that the experience is only helpful and restorative, never stressful. By eliminating the need to load all of the baby’s necessities into the car and trying to work around an infant’s sleeping schedule, I am able to assist your family in receiving moments of peace and restorative relaxation so you are able to appreciate the blessing of these fleeting, precious moments.

Family Home Care services include but are not limited to:

Seasonal nutritious meals cooked in your home or delivered to you
Personalized yoga practice designed around the needs of the new parents
Ayurvedic therapeutic bodywork with organic oils and warm sea stones
Client wellness consultations to bring the body and mind back into balance
Instruction on the methods and benefits of baby bodywork
Family yoga practice
Guided meditation and Pranayama (breath work) to simultaneously energize and ground you
New parent free time- choose to rest or do as you please while I tend to the needs of the baby

My greatest hope? That everyone who winds up here experiences a sense of feeling seen, heard, and like they truly matter—because they do. I’m here for anyone who needs regular reminder that You are enough. You already whole. That there’s nothing “wrong” with you.

I believe that practicing yoga is a way of practicing life. I know that each time we step onto the mat, whether it’s the first time or the thousandth, we’re learning about how to both push our limits and respect our boundaries. We’re balancing patience and determination and developing connection, while making space for stillness.

As we interact, I invite you to explore possibilities that you didn’t know were available. As a result, you might discover that you have a calmer mind and a calmer life. You might find that courage on the mat leads to courage off the mat. You just might find yourself not judging, analyzing, or comparing. I hope you find yourself more connected to the person you’ve always been.

That's because every member of our team working with expecting women, new moms and newborns is a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner, and many have additional certifications.

At Boston NAPS, our mission is to be the first call our clients make when they are expecting or face newborn challenges. We want our brand to be synonymous with trust and to help our clients be the best parents they can be.

We have higher standards than any other private company educating and supporting expecting and new moms. We take seriously our goal to prepare women for pregnancy, birth and motherhood with trusted expertise and compassion. Our starting point is hand-picking highly-qualified medical professionals for our team.
I'm a postpartum doula, yoga instructor, and most importantly, the mother of a six-year old boy and four-year old girl (born 20 months apart). I previously served as a licensed social ... moreworker supporting special needs children and families.

I've always been called to serve the emotional and physical well-being of others, with a special focus on the mind-body connection. After the birth of my first child, a wise older mamma described postpartum to me as a period when “mothers need to be mothered." My own postpartum experiences informed my interest and curiosity about the fourth trimester in our culture. I had so many questions about how to navigate this tender period and was curious why so many new mothers experience anxiety, depression and a general sense of longing to connect and create community with other women.

Motherhood is a rite of passage and a transition that often goes unrecognized in our culture. We dutifully prepare for the birth of a baby, ensuring we have all the essentials that the newborn child might need. But what if we paused for a moment to ask what the newborn mother might need to heal, restore vitality, and feel whole and supported in her new role as mother and caretaker? I’ve spent the past couple years researching and training with women who recognize the gaps in care for new mothers during the early postpartum period referred to as the Fourth Trimester.

My goal is to provide non-judgmental and supportive mother-centered postpartum care that allows for optimal family wellness. Through practical, physical and emotional support during this period, a family can find their footing as they cross the threshold to parenthood.

My name is Kerri Grace and I am the owner of Grace Fitness and Nutrition. I specialize in working with women to keep doing their fitness/exercise of choice through pregnancy, postpartum, ... moreand pelvic floor dysfunction/considerations.

I work with pregnant women to stay in the gym doing what they love, while also doing what’s best for their pelvic floor to still be CrossFitting in 20 years, sustaining performance and function.

I work with postpartum women to get back into exercise at a pace that is best for them individually, building the strongest foundation they’ve ever had while considering the healing pelvic floor and core systems.

I work with women that have diastasis recti, POP, and incontinence to get back to the movements they love to do - symptom and pain-free - bridging the gap between pelvic floor physical therapy and more intense exercise.

I have been a CrossFit Coach since 2012, eventually making it my full-time career. When I got pregnant in 2015 I was a full-time head coach and found myself feeling lost and alone in my training even though I had trained pregnant women before. After I had my son I found myself in a lot of pain in my abdominals that professionals were telling me nothing was wrong my abs were just weak. I knew something else was wrong and eventually found Brianna Battles, her PPA Course and found a PFPT. I have diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia.

It's become my mission to never let another women feel so lost training throughout pregnancy and postpartum or telling themselves "I wish I would have known" like I have said so many times. I also work with women with any pelvic floor considerations that have, or have not, ever been pregnant.
