Lauren has been teaching childbirth since 2003 and has been a doula since 2005, providing support to over 350 womenand their partners. She is a DONA certified birth and postpartum doula, a certified childbirth educator with The American Academy of Husband-Coached Childbirth (The Bradley Method®) and a certified lactation counselor. Lauren's background includes a B.S. in Human Development Counseling and Family Studies and 15 years’ experience in social services and education. From 2012 to 2016, she worked as a research assistant at Women & Infants Hospital for The Infant Brain Study. In this capacity, she assisted two brilliant midwives in their research looking at how delayed cord clamping enhances early brain development.
