Description
Breastfeeding can be a profound bonding experience while offering many lifelong health benefits to both you and your baby. Nursing provides your baby immunity and protects against certain infections and health problems such as diabetes, asthma, obesity, and some childhood cancers (CDC). It may also reduce the risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, and breast/ovarian cancer for mama. Though breastfeeding your baby is natural, it doesn’t always come easily. You are both new to this, and it will take some practice. You deserve an education that will prepare you and leave you feeling confident and successful.

In this 2 hour class, you will learn:

  • Benefits of Breastfeeding
  • Breastfeeding Preparation
  • Proper latch and comfortable positions
  • How to perform hand expression and breast compressions
  • How to navigate breastfeeding challenges: engorgement, growth spurts, sore nipples, mastitis, clogged ducts
  • Tips for success
  • Support and resources
  • Relaxation techniques to encourage bonding and breastfeeding success
  • Learning Hunger cues
  • Burping
  • Pumping

Our Newborn Care Specialists are trained and skilled in newborn care and provide one-on-one support tailored to fit the unique needs of your family. Our job is to ease the stress and bring on the joy and excitement that will follow you and your baby.

As soon as you arrive home, your schedule will coincide with your baby's, and your newborn needs to be fed every 1-3 hours. If you’re expecting your first child you may be asking yourself,

“When do I sleep!?”.

Give yourself the gift of sleep so you can be the best mom you can be in the morning. Your Newborn Care Specialist will arrive at your home between 8-10 pm and stay overnight, working 8-12 hour shifts. During her shift, she will tend to all of your baby's needs while you get the rest that you need to recover. And no need to worry about laundry or washing bottles, mama. We’ve got this!
