I am a licensed massage therapist, in private practice for over 16 years. I am certified in Perinatal Massage and Labor Preparation with over 14 years experience in perinatal care ... more(including coaching laboring mothers with massage and acupressure). My work is heavily influenced by craniosacral therapy, acupressure, reflexology, and myofascial release techniques and I am trained in several osteopathic neuromuscular techniques. I am a reiki Master, have trained in craniosacral therapy through Upledger and pediatric training with Carol Gray, and am a certified TummyTime!™ Professional and teaching assistant.

The TummyTime! Method is a therapeutic program, based on principles of occupational therapy, which addresses the needs of tongue tied babies, offering both pre- and post-frenectomy care. TummyTime! optimizes tongue and cranial nerve function, enhances the benefits of frenectomy, addresses gastrointestinal complaints such as colic, reflux and aerophagia, minimizes and therapeutically treats conditions such as plagiocephaly, brachycephaly and torticollis, and helps distressed babies to feel safe and more calm in tummy time (as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics). TummyTime! equips parents with a wide range of therapeutic home-care techniques which enable babies to be less dependent on formal therapy.

I have had extensive education regarding ankyloglossia (tongue tie), including training repetitively with (and assisting) Dr. Martin Kaplan and Michelle Emanuel at Tufts University Dental School, and have mentored under Michelle Emanuel (neonatal/pediatric occupational therapist, Cincinnati, OH), as well as have trained with Diane Bahr, SLP (speech language pathologist, Las Vegas, NV).

I coordinate the Ankyloglossia Bodyworkers webpage www.ankyloglossiabodyworkers.com which is an international listing of bodyworkers who address tongue tie, in order to create greater access to support for moms and babies with tongue tie. I am a staunch educational advocate for babies with cranial nerve dysfunction and oral dysfunction, and firmly believe that no mother and baby should go through this journey alone.
We are a growing collaborative of individual providers with different specialties who together provide a continuum of support across the perinatal spectrum (prenatal, including infertility ... moresupport, to postnatal and beyond).

Our providers consist of midwives, doulas, mental health counselors, perinatal music therapists, and wellness specialists.

Our mission is to provide global support services for mothers, their partners, and families, with a strong focus on the physical/mental health of women related to their perinatal experience.

We are committed to bringing awareness to the physical/mental/ emotional health needs of these women and making our support services more accessible to those in the South Shore community.

Although comprised of individual providers, we work together as a collaborative to create a central resource where mothers and families can find the type of support and care they need at any given moment in their perinatal journey.

Founder, Jessica Rosene LMT, B.S. has a diverse background in health science, massage therapy, alignment-based yoga, full-spectrum doula support and both childbirth and lactation education. ... moreShe weaves together her skills as an educator, community organizer, and family advocate to bring you Interwoven Care: Dynamic Threads of Support. Let's weave the village around new families.

As a postpartum doula, I support families in the tender weeks and months following the birth of their brand new baby. Newborn care in the first few weeks can be a struggle for anyone. Frequent sleepless nights and the ongoing demands of newborn care can be overwhelming. Postpartum doula care offers families skilled support during this incredible life transition.

Depending on each families needs, your postpartum doula can provide in home massage therapy, private yoga therapies, lactation guidance and resources, newborn care techniques and tools, overnight support so you can get more sleep and new this year: Our Home Delivered Care Plans which weave together postpartum meals for optimal healing, and access to a variety of healing modalities, delivered right to your home. Together we will determine what your families needs are and make a plan that suits your unique situation.

As a birth doula, I offer physical and emotional support to women and their birth partners throughout the entirety of their labor. After an interview together, clients who choose to work with me have access to unlimited phone support as well as several prenatal and postpartum home visits. Together, we work to identify specific needs, preferences and goals for the coming birth and postpartum period. This helps parents feel empowered and prepared to cope with challenges that might arise during and after labor.

Let’s get to work.
I fell in love with massage therapy at a young age when my parents used to help me feel better using massage for growing pains. After attending Finger Lakes School of Massage she also ... morebecame interested in Aromatherapy.

In 2014 I became a mother and used massage to help my daughter sleep and for another way to bond. I also breastfed until her daughter was nearly two, though it was a very difficult and frustrating journey in the beginning. In 2016 I was blessed with another daughter who also breastfed for two years. During this journey, I realized that it wasn't an easy one and wanted to help others with their journies. In December 2018 I had a son. He had a severe lip and posterior tongue tie requiring them to be released so he could nurse properly.

Motherhood inspired me to add a certification for teaching parents how to massage their babies. I am a certified instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). These classes are taught in sessions. There are 5 weeks to each session.

My own issues with breastfeeding also led me to become a certified lactation counselor (CLC) in order to help other parents avoid or at least understand the issues they come across.

I also felt that women are often left out of care. We are not treated as a whole person, but as incubators, and are expected to jump up after childbirth and get right back into our old lives. So I got training for prenatal massage.

Rhode Island Prenatal Massage works with anyone who needs or wants a massage but specializes in women. Our mission is to support every woman before, during and after pregnancy with our services and resources.
