Birth Doula Services
Empowering Presence Doula provides you with compassionate emotional, physical, and informational support to make your birth all that it can be for your whole family. Kelly brings a professional cooperative spirit to the support of your labor, working in harmony with your loved ones that may be supporting you as well as your care provider. Empowering Presence Doula believes that it is the doula’s job to fully and wholeheartedly support your decisions and choices you make. Empowering Presence Doula trusts in the process of birth and believe in the empowerment that birth brings you. Kelly believes that your birth experience will remain one of your most empowering and memorable events of your life. She wants you to feel prepared, safe, and supported throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth.
When you hire Empowering Presence Doula you get on call support from the signing of your contract. You get a doula that arrives at your birth that knows you, and she knows your personal birth plan and needs.

Full continuous support throughout active labor at home, hospital, or birthing center

Whether you would like newborn care during the day or a nanny through the night, Empowering Presence Doula is there for you and your growing family.
Kelly offers newborn care to help your family navigate through the early changes that come with bringing home your new baby. She knows that every family is unique and that needs can vary. Kelly is passionate about providing a listening ear and nurturing care for your family.
Kelly strives to support you with exceptional care so that she can help facilitate a smooth transition for your entire family.
4 hour minimum for daytime care

Certified Lactation Counselor
Breastfeeding is the natural way to feed your baby, but it can also be difficult and challenging at times. Kelly is your personal professional certified lactation counselor (CLC), located in western Massachusetts. She has many years of personal experience having breastfed all four of her babies. Feeding sometimes through tears and agony, Kelly thought that she had to “just get through the difficult stage” to start to enjoy feeding her baby. Kelly went through very unnecessary pain and misery then. She knows how stressful it can be when your desired breastfeeding relationship hits some bumps along the way. For your personal lactation counseling Kelly comes to you in the comfort of your own home, assess your breastfeeding relationship between you and your baby, and listen to your concerns. She will help assist, encourage, and work with you both to get you to achieve your personal breastfeeding goal.
At your appointment Kelly will go over:
You and your baby’s history
Your concerns about breastfeeding
A physical assessment, of you and your baby
Observation of a complete feed
If necessary Kelly will assist with latch, positioning, hand expression, and/or pump use if needed
Weigh before/After feeding
Provide any needed informational resources
Follow-up with phone calls, texts, or e-mails
CLC services are $50 per hour.
Childbirth Education
Empowering Presence Doula has the child birth education you’ve been searching for. We know sitting in weekly, or hourly classes just does not work for all families. Our courses accommodate you right in the comfort of your own home at your available time. Empowering Presence Doula has a variety of course options for you to choose from to fit your specific needs.
Communication, Comfort & Positions – 2-hour class
Birth: The Process, The Pain, & The Positions – 3-hour class.
Three-week full series. Three hours each class.
A One Day 9-hour class.
We also have the option of a completely customized curriculum. You select the specific topics you want covered in your child birth education. We completely tailor our teaching outline to your specific requests.
