FREE - 2-Week Virtual Workshop for New Moms

Week One - Oct. 6, 11:00-11:30 am
Pappas|OPT pediatric physical therapist, Lisa House will guide caregivers through a fun movement workshop with their baby. Lisa will introduce infant massage and play techniques that facilitate development, encourage tummy time and support baby-caregiver bonding.
Lisa House, PT has been working with infants and children for 28 years.  She currently sees clients in her “kids gym” at Pappas|OPT's in Wakefield, RI.

Week Two - October 13, 11:00-11:30am
Pappas|OPT pelvic health specialist Kendra Kohanski will guide moms through a supportive workshop focusing on postpartum pelvic health and exercises. Mom's are encouraged to bring their baby to this virtual workshop!

Kendra is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a certified in pelvic health specialist. She currently sees patients in Pappas|OPT's Greenville location.

Pappas|OPT Pelvic Health specialist Dr. Kendra Kohanski provides comprehensive women’s care in our Greenville location. Kendra has received advanced training through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation and specializes in bladder, bowel, sexual, abdominal, and pelvic dysfunction. She is also the chair of Rhode Island’s Pelvic Health PT Special Interest Group. Kendra received her BS in Exercise Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from URI.

In our Bristol, Middletown, Wakefield and Warren locations, Pappas|OPT offers patients movement based pelvic health physical therapy using treatment techniques from the Gray Institute, a leader in functional movement.

Pediatric specialist Lisa House sees infants to young children in our Wakefield office. Lisa has over 29 years treating pediatric patients. She has taken over 20 advanced training seminars with a focus on pediatric rehabilitation including neurodevelopmental techniques, infant massage, myofascial release, strain counterstrain and craniosacral therapy. Lisa received her BS of Physical Therapy from Northeastern. 

Pediatric specialist, Dena King sees children in our Middletown clinic. A pediatric occupational therapist, Dena provides treatment for developmental and neurological diagnoses. She worked at Newport Hospital’s outpatient rehabilitation for 21 prior to joining our team. Dena earned her BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England. She also sees patients for hand therapy, upper extremity therapy, including carpal tunnel.
